In this Episode(S5Ep1): The Daughter of a rich Chinese business family has been kidnapped. The Santa Barbara Police department hands over the case to Henry. He decides to keep Shawn and Gus away from the case. This is one difficult case to handle. Inspite of being asking to be out Shawn does help and work in the case in order to help Juliet.

In this episode (S5Ep2): the case is about two bodies found in the river. Shawn and Gus have share an argument which makes Gus team up with Lassiter for a case. In the meanwhile, Juliet makes an union with Shawn but it isn't going that well for both of them and they join back and work on the case together as a team.

The story focuses on Dennis who then decide to give responsibility to to capable persons Shawn and Gus. He makes them in charge of a difficult abduction case, which is directly or indirectly linked to alien's abduction. All these things make the situation all the more difficult for Shawn and Gus. The fifth episode of season 5 starts when a stolen Lamborghini is found with a dead body of street-racing gang member. This case seems to get mixed with a case that is still unsolved. In this Episode (S5Ep6): The death of a police officer sparks controversies. A police officer is found dead and investigation tells that the police officer who died was corrupt. He was involved in a lot of criminal activities since he retired. Shawn and Gus now are working on this case which is though a little difficult for them.

In this Episode (S5Ep7): Shawn and Gus help the prison guard to put four prisoners back into the prison who ran out from the custody. Soon enough they realize that the escape was not their real objective rather something bigger was planned to take place at that moment. Now Shawn has something big and difficult to look into and solve.

In this Episode (S5Ep8): A new Criminal Profiler named Declan Rand comes. He comes to help Santa Barbara to help in the case of a serial killer who is picking people who are on the liver transplant list. Shawn starts to doubt his own skills as Declan comes. For him Declan is both a a professional and Personal competition and he doesn't like him.

In this Episode (S5Ep09): Shawn and Juliet's friend who is a spy asks for there help to get her out of a framed crime scene which she did not commit. The case gets complicated when Shawn finds out that one of the spy's associate is being framed by US Government. Shawn asks from Declan's help and realises that He and Juliet are getting serious which eventually makes him confess his feelings to Juliet.

In this episode (S5Ep10): Revolves around Despereaux who is in a Vancouver Prison. Shawn and Gus Decides to go there and visit him because they think he is innocent and is not guilty for the crime. He is framed in the whole story and they decide to investigate the matter so as to prove him innocent. This episode changes the whole scenario.

This episode: Revolves around Shawn and Gus. They both see a murder while they were on a haunted house ride. Who did the murder is a mystery? Is it a ghost? or Is is planned? . In the next scene we see that Juliet is saying Shawn to tell Gus everything about them and their relation ship. In this episode we get to see full drama and emotion.

In this episode (S5Ep12): we see Shawn and Gus receiving an unknown Email which has an invitation to Cinnamon Festival. This invitation brings both of them to a new town. This invitation has along with it has invitation to various weird things. This episode brings with it a lot of new things to see and predict.

In this Episode (S5Ep13): Henry and Lassiter are in full mood to send Shawn and Gus to the police Academy as they think that there they can have a better understanding of police procedures. Shawn and Gus are in no mood to attend this course but they have no other option except that. Eventually what happens next is worth seeing?

In this section (S5Ep14): we see Henry remembering different phases in his life, thinking how it would be had he not returned to Santa Barbara. In the meantime we find Shawn in a bid to find evidences against the real culprit. How Shawn finds investigates the case further? and what happens to Henry thinking about his life?

This episode revolves around the death of the trainer. Shawn is all set to find the guilty. Is polar bear the real killer? or is this all planned? . Now Shawn takes the charge of the case.
