Shawn takes an unsuspecting Gus to a crime scene where they find a man who has apparently overdosed on pills. Shawn, skeptical of the proclaimed suicide, requests to read the witnesses, but the only witness to the event was the man's cat. This is good enough for Shawn, who proceeds to haul the cat around and communicate with him psychically. Gus sees no need for their involvement in the case. Like Lassiter, he believes it was just a suicide. However, he grows wary when a second body is found, another supposed suicide.
